Hitachi Automotive Systems 

As Construction Manager for this project, Dore Associates represented Hitachi Automotive Systems’ interests throughout the entire construction process. The team was also responsible for overseeing the mechanical installation process, with key components including the GIS electrical substation, steam, compressed air, and oil installation. Also managed the control process to ensure quality control, project management services, and payment application oversight.

Dore Associates assisted Hitachi in reviewing the project scope and specifications on site, and was responsible for coordinating and verifying all items outlined in the bid documents.

BRP- Bombardier Recreational Products- Magellan Site

As Construction Manager for this project, Dore Associates represented Vesta’s and BRP’s interests throughout the construction process. Dore Associates’ role included overseeing tenant improvements— one of the most significant being the Breathing Air System —as well as the BMS process and Access Control process. Also managed the control process to ensure quality control, project management services, and payment application oversight.

Dore Associates assisted Vesta/BRP in reviewing the project scope and specifications on site, and was responsible for coordinating and verifying all items outlined in the bid documents.

Mattel Mexico Distribution Center

As Construction Manager for this project, Dore Associates represented Mattel’s interests throughout the pre-construction and construction phases. Their role included site selection, site evaluation, and assistance in optioning the selected property for Mattel, ensuring that prospective developers were offered equal land cost conditions.

Dore Associates supported Mattel in defining the project scope and specifications, and was responsible for pre-qualifying potential developers, as well as reviewing and analyzing bids for developer selection.

 

During construction, Dore Associates monitored the project’s progress, provided Mattel with daily reports on schedule compliance and work quality, and offered coordination assistance with the developer and general contractor.

Maytag Manufacturing Facility

For their first major production facility outside of the United States, Maytag chose Dore Associates to master plan a 62-acre campus and then design and manage the construction process for the first new building—a 185,000 sq. ft. refrigerator manufacturing facility. Both building designs incorporate automation and integration of lean manufacturing processes.

Perlos Manufacturing Facility

Dore Associates provided an optimal combination of capabilities and services for the Perlos project in Mexico. The venture presented four key challenges:

  1. Establishing the optimal project team and achieving alignment among the various players.

  2. Creating an architectural approach to meet diverse technical and functional design requirements.

  3. Achieving world-class quality standards in the construction phase.

  4. Ensuring that equipment and processes were well integrated for operational effectiveness.

Rockwell Automation

Manufacturing Facility

For their first major production facility in Mexico, Rockwell Automation selected Dore Associates to assist with site selection, budgeting, developer selection, architectural and engineering design, project management, and process management. Dore Associates also provided full-time on-site construction management services throughout the project.

 

The project involved coordination of three separate general contractors: one for site work, one for shell buildings, and one for interiors. The entire project—from initial site selection and concept design to completion and occupancy—was completed in just 15 months.

The combined facilities on this campus now generate 25% of Rockwell’s worldwide production capacity.

Black &Decker / DeWalt Manufacturing Facility and Distribution Center

This world-class cross-dock manufacturing and distribution facility totals 350,000 sq. ft., including 30,000 sq. ft. dedicated to injection molding operations, steel cutting, painting, assembly, warehousing, and engineering labs. An additional 35,000 sq. ft. is allocated to corporate offices.

Black & Decker selected Dore Associates for this project based on their extensive experience with similar industrial facilities in Mexico. Dore collaborated with Black & Decker to optimize the building layout for efficient manufacturing and corporate integration. CITIUS supported negotiations with Mexican contractors and provided project management services throughout construction.
